TVB Associates is assembling a team of experienced neutron imaging scientists and engineers to support bids for scientific and technical design services for neutron imaging instrumentation projects.
Opportunities may include scientific and technical design of neutron imaging beamlines for reactor and pulsed accelerator-driven neutron sources.
These are part-time, project-based consulting roles and may be suitable for mid-career, senior, or recently retired experts seeking flexible involvement in neutron instrumentation projects.
What You’ll Do
Depending on project needs, you may:
- Provide scientific and technical input to beamline and instrument design.
- Translate user requirements into instrument specifications.
- Conduct performance assessments and evaluate design trade-offs.
- Contribute to conceptual and technical design reports.
- Participate in technical reviews and advisory discussions.
- Advise on instrument implementation, integration, and commissioning strategies.
- Mentor junior contributors where appropriate.
Who You Are
- Experienced in neutron imaging, radiography, tomography, neutron optics, or related instrumentation fields.
- Familiar with reactor-based neutron sources, pulsed neutron sources, or both.
- Interested in contributing to scientific and technical design projects on a flexible consulting basis.
- Mid-career, senior, or retired but still scientifically active.
